Mayor Mike Keenan serves as the decision-making authority of Dublin Mayor’s Court. Occasionally, a magistrate will preside over this Court in the Mayor’s place. This Court serves as a local judicial forum to rule on misdemeanor cases alleged to have occurred within the city’s limits. The Dublin Mayors Court preside over arraignments, pre-trials, probation revocation hearings, financial hearings, bench trials and sentencings. This Court hears misdemeanor offenses including theft, assault, and serious traffic offenses such as OVI/DUI, DUS and No Operator’s License.
If you are charged in Dublin Mayor’s Court you have the option to have the case removed to the Franklin County Municipal Court.
In the case of an OVI/DUI or other serious misdemeanors, the fines, penalties, or sentencing can be harsh ranging from $250 to $10,000, license suspension, increased insurance premiums, vehicle forfeiture and/or jail time, so it is important to have experienced legal representation and defense.
